A. Fuente & Co. Añejo Reserva No. 46
This cigar was covered with an extremely dark, deep reddish brown color had a silky texture to the touch. The pre-light smell was full and rich with sweet tobacco, dried fruit and cognac-like notes, which was also evident on the cold-draw taste. The draw was smooth as silk and effortless. It had a creamy texture with a manageable white peppery note when retro-haled through the nose. The burn was extremely even, like a razor’s edge. It held on to a long, nearly white ash that had to be pulled off of the cigar. Right from the start this cigar had a full profile; from the body and flavors to the aroma. It continued to develop and intensify as the cigar was smoked, finishing full overall. There was nice balance to the flavor, which coated the mouth evenly leaving a mouthwatering finish. The aroma was full and bright with a slightly sweet undertone that was consistent with the pre-light smell and taste. As the cigar burned down it intensified and delivered a full flavored, full bodied cigar experience that is accessible to a newbie, and most certainly appreciated by a seasoned pro.
