Montecristo Nicaragua Edition

Montecristo Nicaragua Edition

A light brown colored wrapper with no visible seams and a smooth texture to the touch covered this cigar.  The pre-light smell was sweet and very clean with well fermented tobacco notes that carried over to the pre-light taste along with a mild cocoa note.  The cigar was very firm to the touch and heavy in the hand.  The draw was very smooth with a slight resistance.  Effortless to smoke with outstanding overall construction.  The burn was slow and had a razor’s edge.  It produced a long, light gray ash.  The cigar stayed lit for ten minutes while not smoking it and was able to be picked right back up with no issues at all.  The aroma really stood out with a sweet, rich and luring characteristic.  This cigar offered a lot of Nicaraguan traits in the flavor profile but was lighter bodied than one might expect from a typical Nicaraguan cigar.  An excellent cigar for someone to experience what Nicaragua has to offer without an overwhelming, full bodied experience.  An extremely well made and flavorful cigar that is very accessible to all levels of experience.  An outstanding, well rounded and balanced cigar that was incredibly well made.
