Atabey Cigars Black Ritos 6.25 x 55
Atabey Cigars Black Ritos 6.25 x 55

A dark brown, smooth and oily wrapper covered this cigar that had a tangy sweet pre-light nose. The cold draw had heavy notes of raisin and cherry-like flavors. The cigar immediately boasted a full flavor profile and dense, full body at first puff. It had peppery spices as well as cinnamon-like tones in the flavor as well as in the nose when retro haling the smoke. Black pepper lingered in the taste through the finish of each puff.
There was a full strength kick in the beginning that mellowed out after the first inch, along with the spices, revealing a creamier balanced texture. The spices remained present throughout the duration of the experience and picked up momentum again as the cigar was enjoyed. There were notes of wood and dark chocolate that developed in the flavor as well as in the aroma. The cigar had amazing construction.
The burn was slow even and produced a long, tight, light gray ash that didn’t want to fall off of the cigar. The draw was incredibly smooth and offered generous amounts of hardy smoke to the palate with ease. This was a bold, full strength, full flavored, complex cigar with a mix of spices and deep earthy tones. The strength of the cigar matched well with the full, spicy flavors that the cigar offered. It didn’t punch you in the face but was present, leaving a lasting impression. This cigar is definitely more suitable for a developed palate or one who enjoys full strength cigars.
