A deep and dark brown, oily wrapper covered this hardy looking cigar.  Very firm to the touch with an incredibly smooth draw. The pre-light smell had a sweeter tone with hay-like notes.  Right after lighting, there were black and white pepper spices in the taste that lingered in the nose.  It immediately had a full earthy aroma with milder spice and cocoa traits that intensified in no time.  The initial spices settled down getting into the first half, revealing more of the full and earthy, cocoa-like flavors allowing them to take center stage.  The full flavor and aroma developed wood notes, a nuttiness and more white pepper while maintaining a cocoa forward trait.  The full body was smooth yet had dense texture.  What started out as full strength, the cigar settled to medium in the first half and coming back to full in the second.  The cigar maintained outstanding construction for beginning to end. Any minor issues with the burn fixed itself. The cigar smoked effortlessly and delivered a complex, full flavor profile from beginning to end.  It had a full body with full strength that had a long finish that never overwhelmed the palate.  The personality of the cigar matched the appearance and delivered a rich experience one can look forward to again and again.
