The cigar had a smooth and gradual draw, which allowed plenty of thick creamy smoke to the palate. It had a mild white peppery spiciness through the nose, which lingered and intensified as the cigar was smoked. A dark chocolate note developed in the aroma of the smoke, which changed to more earthy and spice tones. The cigar maintained a dense and creamy texture in the mouth with consistent spices in the nose when retro-haled. The cigar had outstanding construction from beginning to end, with a slow and even burn that made this effortless to enjoy. As the cigar developed, black pepper notes were noticed in the aroma and taste with a dominating earthy quality. Overall it was a smooth full-bodied smoke with a dense texture and balanced flavors. While the cigar did change and develop as it was smoked, it wasn’t overly complex and never overwhelmed the senses.
