Camacho Cigars Corojo Ten Year Anniversary

Camacho Cigars Corojo Ten Year Anniversary

This cigar had a gorgeous wrapper that was leathery in appearance. Although the pre-light smell was a lot lighter than when new, it had a similar rich, earthy, cocoa and an altogether well rounded smell. As the cigar was lit the initial smell of the smoke was bold and full in nature with a hearty tone. The draw was very smooth and provided creamy textured smoke to the palate with ease, which is a big change from the spiciness of the cigar when new. The aroma of the smoke was full with earthy black pepper notes.

As the cigar developed, some spices were noticed lingering on the back end flavor of each puff but the cigar maintained its creamy texture through the taste. White pepper notes developed in the nose when retro-haling the smoke. After about 7 years of age the cigar definitely changed quite a bit. It had a more refined, balanced character that was easy on the palate while offering full flavors and aroma, with a slow building body that finished off medium overall. A great cigar to put away for some time as age definitely agrees with this blend.
