Camacho Cigars Face Off by Litto Gomez

The pre-light nose was light with a moderate amount of sweetness. It had a slightly floral, cedar-like pre-light taste. As soon as the cigar was lit, there was a light yet rich aroma filled with earthy cocoa and faint peppery spices. The taste of the smoke was very similar to the aromas of the pre-light. There was a mild spice in the nose with coffee, cedar and a slightly floral edge that became more earthy as the cigar was smoked. The body was mild and the smoke had a light texture on the palate. Some mild cocoa-like notes developed in the aroma, which was easygoing yet full of luring qualities. The spice picked up a little bit as the cigar was smoked and lingered on the palate.

This cigar has had quite some time to age and has mellowed out over the years. Even with fourteen years of age on it, it offered a nice spicy flavor profile that had balance and a more straightforward, refined personality. Outstanding construction and burn overall. This was a fun project when they were released and time has done this blend well, but probably not for much longer.
