Cavalier Genève Black Series II Torpedo
A dark pale-brown wrapper covered this torpedo shaped cigar. It was light in the hand yet solid to the touch with a little bit of resistance on the draw. The pre-light nose was light with faint earthy notes. Once lit there was initial flavors of coffee and cocoa with a slight sweet tone that were noticed in the taste and aroma. Black pepper characteristics picked up pretty quickly after lighting and really came through in the aroma, which also had a sharper, spicy white pepper note that lingered in the nose, especially when retro haling the smoke. The burn was even and fairly quick with the construction holding up extremely well, providing a very long, nearly white ash. The flavor profile was full and fairly consistent from beginning to end. It offered deep earthy notes with peppery spices throughout. Medium body from beginning to end with medium-full strength through the finish. Not a complex cigar being it was consistent from beginning to end. Easy to enjoy especially for those who like a spicy cigar that won’t destroy your palate or knock you back in your seat.
