The cigar was covered with an oily, dark wrapper.  There was a very interesting earthy and mint like pre-light smell.  Overall it had outstanding construction with a smooth draw that let a lot of creamy buttery smoke through to the pallet. There were traces of spice through the nose and on the finish with the big delicious aroma. Very flavorful with an underlying medium body.
