Crowned Heads The Angel’s Anvil TAA 2016
This box-pressed cigar was covered with a super dark brown oily wrapper. It had a very unique pre-light taste with dark dried fruit, cocoa notes and woody traits. The draw was smooth and allowed big clouds of full flavored smoke through to the palate once lit. It was packed with black pepper-like spices that dominated the senses at first, and then settled down, which allowed a creamy texture to develop. A lot of the same traits of the pre-light were noticed in the taste, with a sweet backbone that lingered on the finish of each puff. The smoke had a dense texture yet was clean on the palate. The spices became more prevalent through the nose and maintained intensity. Great construction with a slow and even burn. This was a full bodied cigar with full complex flavors that left a lasting impression. This is not a cigar for the new hobbyist, but is a treat for the experienced cigar lover who loves big, juicy, complex and full-bodied cigars. A very unique cigar overall.
