Davidoff Maduro Toro

This cigar had an oily, deep reddish-brown wrapper.  The pre-light nose was bright with sweet tones of cedar, mild cocoa and floral notes that carried over to the dry-draw flavor.  Once lit the cigar provided a creamy texture with red and white pepper spices in the nose.    The aroma was sweet and spicy with more floral tones.

The body was full pretty much from the first puff on with lighter strength in the beginning that gradually built to medium, medium-full depending on the individual.  Full flavors from beginning to end with a sweeter taste that lingered on the palate through the finish of each puff.

As expected, the construction was nearly flawless. It had a slow and even burn that hung on to a darker gray ash and the draw was incredibly smooth.  Very well rounded on the palate engaging all areas of the tongue – balanced while still being rich in flavor and aroma.

A bolder expression from Davidoff with more spice, more body, more strength and richer flavors – yet still undoubtedly Davidoff.  Just a great cigar from beginning to end and a must try for anyone who loves the unique terroir that Davidoff brings to the table.
