Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Year of the Duque

Covered with a dark and oily wrapper, this cigar had a slightly sweet tone on the pre-light nose with hay and floral-like notes, which carried over to the cold-draw flavor. Once lit, the cigar immediately provided full bodied smoke with full earthy flavors. It had a mix of intense peppery spices through the nose.
It didn’t take long for the strength to build to full, which was equally matched in flavor and aroma. There were some floral notes in the aroma with wood and cocoa powder traits. The draw was incredibly smooth with an even burn that produced a long, medium gray ash. Outstanding construction.
Overall a full, hardy cigar with a long finish and a deep, earthy flavor profile. A great choice paired with a favorite drink or after a meal.
