Royal Agio Cigars USA announced today that they will be introducing DUETO, the first handmade cigar blend released under the new collaboration- based Balmoral Serie Signaturas (Signature Series) platform. For this first release, Boris Wintermans teamed up with the legendary Ernesto Pe?rez-Carrillo to deliver a special, one-of-a- kind sensorial experience based on the intersection of two distinct, Dominican boutique cigar maker blending signatures. DUETO will be presented in the Royal Agio booth (Booth #1161) at the 2018 IPCPR Tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV.

Balmoral Serie Signaturas DUETO is the result of a special collaboration between two of the most passionate and dedicated Dominican boutique premium cigar makers, Ernesto Pe?rez-Carrillo and Boris Wintermans. While each cigar maker has a unique and distinguished personal cigar history, they share the philosophy that relentless, passionate curiosity is essential to discovering and enjoying the best life has to offer.

Blended by the legendary Ernesto Pe?rez-Carrillo to excite the senses, DUETO captures the complex intersection of two distinct premium cigar blending signatures. Incorporating each cigar makers’ hand-selected, preferred tobaccos, this cigar blend delivers a special, one-of-a-kind sensorial experience – the signature elegant robustness of Ernesto Pe?rez-Carrillo cigars and the signature balance of sophisticated complexity and smoothness of Boris Wintermans’ Balmoral handmade cigars.

From his Tabacalera La Alianza factory in the Dominican Republic, Ernesto Pe?rez-Carrillo commented, “It has been a pleasure to work with Boris and his team at Royal Agio on this special project, especially because we share a fundamental, common exploratory philosophy as cigar makers. The DUETO blend showcases extensively aged Nicaraguan and exclusive, stalk-cut Brazilian Mata Norte tobaccos, coupled with a Nicaraguan binder (Esteli?) and a robust, yet elegant Nicaraguan wrapper from Jalapa.

DUETO will be presented in the following five vitolas, packaged in 10-count boxes – Robusto 5 x 50 (MSRP $9.75), Ovacio?n (Figurado) 5 1/2 x 50 (MSRP $10.25), Gran Toro 6 x 52 (MSRP $10.50), Gordo 6 x 60 (MSRP $12.50) and Churchill 7 x 49 (MSRP $11.50). Shipments to U.S. retailers will begin September, 2018.
