La Aurora Fernando León Family Reserve Lancero

An attractive looking lancero shaped cigar with a coiled pigtail cap. The pre-light nose had tangy-sweet notes of cedar and floral tones with a more woody flavor on the dry-draw taste. Once lit, the cigar provided creamy, medium bodied smoke with peppery spices that lingered in the nose, which was a consistent trait throughout the duration of the cigar.
The aroma had more notes of wood such as sweet cedar, oak, a citrus tanginess and spices. The flavor had also had sweeter tone with more of the wood notes found throughout the other characteristics of the cigar. The retro-hale was tolerable with a smooth white pepper trait that didn’t overwhelm the senses.
It had a slow and even burn the whole was through and produced a medium gray ash. There was some resistance to the draw yet was effortless and produced large amounts of smoke to the palate with ease. Overall this was a very flavorful cigar with a full body, mild-medium strength and a very pleasant aroma. Would recommend to any level of experience as it won’t knock you down with strength but still delivers great flavors and aroma.
