My Father Cigars Fonseca Edition MX Robusto

This cigar had a rugged, hardy appearance with a dark, oily and toothy wrapper. It had a tangy sweet pre-light nose with notes of cocoa, graham cracker and hay. Earthy tones were noted on the cold-draw flavor with more cocoa, wood and baking spice.
Once lit, the smoke had red and white peppery spices in the nose, which also lingered in the taste on the back end of each puff. It had a full body with a rich, full flavor profile from the first puff to the last. Medium in strength for the first inch or so, then graduated to full.
The strength was never overpowering and balanced well with the full body and flavor characteristics. The intense spicy traits in the beginning did settle a little bit, especially in the nose but remained a consistent trait throughout. More black pepper developed in the aroma, with notes of wood and cocoa.
Outstanding burn and construction overall. This is one cigar that you can judge by appearance as it delivered just as hardy of an experience as it looked and left a lasting impression. Ideal for anyone who enjoys a bold, spicy, complex, cigar that is full across the board.
