Foundation Cigar Company Tabernacle Goliath
A fat looking, stubby perfecto shaped cigar that had a rustic, deep brown, veiny, toothy and oily wrapper. The pre-light nose and taste were clean and subtle with cocoa and hay-like notes. The cigar was solid to the touch with no soft spots. As firm as this ci-gar was the draw was smooth and effortless, like drinking something from a straw. Once lit the smoke immediately offered a full, rich texture and aroma. There was a lot of cocoa in the flavor that was also a consistent characteristic in the aroma throughout the entire experience. Mild spices lingered in the taste and through the nose when retro-haling the dense and otherwise creamy smoke. The flavors and aroma intensified, becoming bolder as the cigar progressed. Very full flavored overall with the full body to match, which balanced with and accentuated the rich flavors. Outstanding construction with a slow and even burn. The cigar smoked effortlessly from beginning to end. Complex with numerous changes throughout especially in the aroma and flavor. The cocoa traits of the cigar were more noticeable in the aroma with more spices in the flavor. The aroma had a room filing, luring quality that made this cigar hard to put down. A big personality with an outstanding rich flavor profile.
So far I have really enjoyed Foundation Cigar’s offerings, this one looks especially tasty, will have to be on the look for it.
