A. Fuente & Co Casa Cuba

A. Fuente & Co Casa Cuba

This short robusto sized cigar had a reddish-brown colored wrapper and a slight box pressed shape.  The pre-light nose was light with mild sweet notes of earthy hay.  The pre-light taste was similar to the smell only more intense.  The cigar was solid to the touch and had an effortless, smooth draw.   Right away the smoke had a creamy smooth texture with a sweet earthy aroma that had a good amount of peppery spices.  The spicy characteristic developed and lingered in the taste and was noticeable through the finish of each puff.  The sweetness of the cigar was a consistent trait throughout the duration of the cigar, coupled with peppery spices.  Medium bodied with balanced flavors, the cigar did develop in strength as it was smoked finishing out on the fuller end of the medium bodied scale.  The burn was slow and even, producing a long, nearly light gray ash.  This cigar had a lot of character without too much complexity making it a great choice for many occasions.
