A. Fuente & Co. Opus X PJ

An extremely attractive looking smaller sized cigar.  The pre-light nose was full and bright with a luring sweet smell and a hay-like taste on the dry draw. It felt great in the hand, had no soft spots and was well packed for such a small ring.

A big red and white pepper spice profile took off from the start and lingered in the taste as well as in the nose.  The aroma was sweet with a classic opus taste. The spices did level off an inch or so in but were more present than any other opus that comes to mind.  Full flavored with a consistent sweet and spicy character.  Definitely a unique experience you can only find in Fuente.

The draw was smooth and easy and with a slow burn held on to a long dark grey ash.  Full bodied with the strength to match.

There is a lot going on in a little package.  The spice really kicked in and was a dominating trait in the second half experience. It maintained some sweetness in the aroma and taste.  A very well made cigar that smoked effortlessly.

I wouldn’t suggest this cigar to a novice due to it’s strength but definitely something I would recommend for anyone who can and is willing to get their hands on one.
