Gran Habano Cigars (Tabacalera Unidos) Corojo No. 5 Maduro Limitado 2011

This cigar had a very dark and oily wrapper. There was a floral, hay-like earthy sweetness on the pre-light smell and taste. The cigar was light in the hand and solid to the touch. The draw was smooth and effortless. The smoke had a creamy texture with a good amount of black pepper spices that lingered on the palate through the finish of each puff. The same peppery spices were noticed in the nose but were manageable when retro-haling the smoke. The taste and aroma had the same pre-light notes with sweet, earthy, floral and spicy characteristics. This cigar had complex, full flavors and a medium-full body that gained momentum throughout the duration of the experience. It had a long and spicy finish. Outstanding burn that produced a long, dark gray ash. This cigar had great construction and it was completely effortless to enjoy. Overall this was a unique medium-full bodied cigar with a lot of personality and intriguing full flavors and aroma.
