Gran Habano Corojo No. 7 Toro Extra

A hardy wrapper with noticeable oils and veins covered this cigar.

The pre-light nose had a faint sweet smell with a floral taste on the dry draw.  The smoke had an initial creamy impression once lit with a mixture of black and white pepper notes in the aroma and while retro-haling.

The draw was firm but not a hinderance as the cigar still delivered generous amounts of smoke with ease.  It maintained a creamy texture on the palate with the original burst of peppery spice becoming more subdued, although the spices maintained a presence in the taste and lingered in the nose as the cigar was enjoyed.  There was a sweet, floral tone in the aroma as well as in the taste with deeper notes of earthy nut-like and cocoa profiles.

The burn was mostly even and only required minor touchups.  It produced a long and light grey ash.  The aroma’s intensity continued to develop becoming richer throughout the experience.  The smoke was clean and light on the palate with a medium body.  The strength started out mild and slowly gained momentum, finishing medium-full to full.

Not an overly complex cigar but it had a full, intriguing flavor profile and aroma with some developments and an overall unique personality.
