A great classic size, this lancero shaped cigar had a dark brown colored wrapper that had a light oily sheen and rustic overall appearance. It had a mild smell on the nose and delicate pre-light taste. There was a peppery spice in the nose but very tame and tolerable when retro-haled. The aroma of the smoke was mild, yet had a rich tone with sweet earthy characteristics and more mild spices. The construction was top notch. The cigar was firm to the touch and had a smooth, effortless draw with a slow and even burn that hung on to a long ash. The flavor and body built from mild to a lighter side of medium with a long, flavorful finish. It held on to a great aroma and was very balanced. An elegant way to start the day.
