This was an impressive looking large cigar with a hardy and oily looking wrapper. The pre-light nose had a sweet earthy tone with a woody note. The draw was effortless and provided generous amounts of smooth and creamy smoke. There were mild notes of cedar, cocoa and a big black pepper taste without the full on spiciness the cigar had when new. The cigar definitely developed a creamier texture over the years and maintained all the full flavors it originally had. As the cigar was smoked some coffee and nut-like characteristics developed. Medium body overall with full balanced flavors. Time has done this cigar extremely well. It is still complex but with more of a refined quality. Outstanding overall construction with an even burn that produced a long and dense ash. This is definitely a cigar that can handle some time in the humidor, and you’ll be glad you did. It will obviously mellow out so get a box and smoke one every so often to find your sweet spot.
