J.C. Newman Brick House Bricktoberfest 2025

An impressive looking extra-long Churchill shaped cigar that had a pigtail cap and a hardy, oily reddish brown wrapper. The pre-light nose was mild and the dry draw flavor had a sweeter tone with earthy hay notes. After the initial lighting, the smoke had a full body with a creamy texture and mild spices. Black pepper flavor developed in the taste and lingered in the nose when retro haling.
The aroma had a sweet, fermented tobacco note with a rich, luring quality. The strength started out pretty mild for the first inch or two and gradually picked up momentum to medium for most of the duration, leaning more towards medium-full in the last third. The smoke was well balanced on the palate with a nice blend of peppery spice, more earthy-hay and wood flavors.
The aroma was very pleasant, sweet, spicy and developed mild cocoa and cinnamon like tones. Great construction with a mostly even burn that didn’t require any touch-ups. Effortless draw that provided generous amounts of smoke with ease.
A well-rounded experience that left nothing wanting. It delivered bold flavors, a big aroma, full body and a strength profile that blended perfectly with the overall characteristics that the cigar had to offer. A great pairing for chilly days next to a bonfire or just something to sit back with and enjoy.
