J.C. Newman Cigar Co. Brick House Maduro

J.C. Newman Cigar Co. Brick House Maduro

This cigar was solid to the touch and had an effortless draw. It was covered with a dark brown, oily wrapper with some noticeable toothiness. The pre-light smell was sweet and tangy which also carried over to the pre-light taste. The smoke had a spicy backbone in the taste and the aroma, but more so on the finish of each puff and through the nose when retro-haling the smoke. It had a dense and creamy texture with a slight sweetness that lingered on the palate. The aroma continued to develop and build in character. It was nutty, sweet and spicy with some cedar notes. The burn was slow and even, which produced a long and dense, dark gray ash. More black pepper notes became more pronounced as the cigar was enjoyed. Medium-full body with full spicy flavors and aromas. It had a very long and flavorful fuller finish with spices that lingered on the palate through the back end of each puff. A very well made flavorful cigar with outstanding value.
