J.C. Newman Cigar Company Diamond Crown Belicoso #9
A golden brown wrapper with a slightly oily sheen covered this cigar. It had a mild nose with hay and a honey-like sweetness that was also noticed on the dry draw taste. There was a firm feel in the hand and an effortless, smooth draw.
Once lit there were noticeable white pepper notes in the aroma with cedar in the taste. A sweetness developed not long into the cigar, especially in the aroma that remained a consistent trait for the duration of the experience. It had a medium, creamy body with bright, full flavors.
The spices were always present, but well balanced with earthy, hay-like flavors and sweet tones. Outstanding construction with an incredibly even burn. The ash was a dark grey color and didn’t want to fall off the cigar.
The flavor profile was pretty consistent throughout but did intensify, becoming richer and more robust throughout the second half. The aroma really stood out and had a luring quality. Mild strength, full in flavor with a medium body. Overall this was an extremely well made, milder cigar filled with flavor and a big aroma.
This is a great choice for any level of experience. It’ll keep the senses entertained while never becoming overwhelmed.
