La Aurora 100 Años
A very classic looking cigar that was covered with an oily, light reddish-brown wrapper with full, sweet pre-light smell with honey and cedar-like notes. The cigar was solid to the touch with no soft spots, and had a very smooth and effortless draw that allowed large volumes of full flavored smoke through to the palate. The aroma was filled with graham cracker, cedar, vanilla notes and strong white pepper spices that lingered in the nose and through the finish of each puff. The texture was light on the palate with a mild bodied start that gained momentum throughout the duration of the smoke, finishing medium to full overall. There were consistent sweet notes in the aroma but the peppery spices were a dominating characteristic. Even with a good amount of age this cigar still had a full personality and complexity in its developing flavors and aroma. It developed and smoothed out as it was smoked becoming more balanced in texture and flavor. An excellent burn hung on to a long, salt and pepper colored ash. This cigar had a lot of flavor and could easily spend more time in the aging room.
