La Aurora ADN Dominicano Robusto
This cigar was covered with an evenly colored, oily dark brown, slightly reddish wrapper. The pre-light nose had an intriguing characteristic with caramel, vanilla and light, peppery hay-like notes on the open foot of the cigar, with more earthy sweet notes from the wrapper. After cutting the cap, the pre-light taste was just as intriguing with a tangy tone. Once lit the cigar offered an intense white peppery spice with a fruity tone in the aroma. It had a smokiness that was noticed when retro-haled and in the aroma consistently throughout the duration of the cigar. There was a medium body that picked up momentum early on and finished full with bold spicy flavors. It had a clean texture on the palate and didn’t weigh it down. The draw was very smooth and aided in an effortless experience. Great overall construction with a slow and even burn. A great choice for someone looking to get a spicy cigar that has a good amount of strength, but isn’t overbearing.
