La Flor Dominicana Carbon Flower Toro Extra

This hardy looking cigar had a dark, oily, toothy wrapper and a tangy-sweet pre-light nose with notes of chocolate covered raisin and mild floral tones. More dried fruit notes were noticed on the cold-draw flavor with cedar and deep, earthy hay.
Once lit, the cigar wasted no time providing a full body and creamy texture with spicy white pepper in the nose when retro haled. It had a full, slightly sweet aroma with similar notes as the pre-light characteristics, developing more wood, cocoa and spice as the cigar was enjoyed.
Medium strength slowly developed to full, but never became overwhelming and balanced well with the full flavors, aroma and body. Great burn and construction. A complex cigar overall with a lot going on – yet was effortless to enjoy.
