Crowned Heads Las Calaveras 2024 LC46
This cigar had a darker brown oily wrapper with a hardy appearance. The pre-light nose was sweet with rich, well fermented tobacco notes and more tangy-sweet like tones on the pre-light taste. It felt well balanced in the hand and firm to the touch. At first light the cigar provided a burst of sweet and flavorful smoke with a big aroma. The draw was smooth with just the right amount of resistance; it was effortless and provided generous amounts of smoke with ease. A spiciness, that proved to be a consistent trait of the cigar, let its presence known from the beginning with subtle white pepper notes that gained momentum as the cigar was enjoyed. The spicy trait eventually lingering in the taste through the finish and in the nose when retro haled. The aroma, the smell of the smoke, really stood out with this blend. It started full and didn’t let up maintaining a rich, sweet and spicy characteristic that will keep your attention with each puff. A full flavor profile that was paired with a medium-full body and medium overall strength. Fairly consistent throughout, the cigar started with full flavors and a rich tone and didn’t let up. Top notch construction from beginning to end with a slow, even burn that clung to a salt and peppered colored ash. This cigar was loaded with a nice amount of spice and full flavors with strength that lets you know it’s there but won’t overpower you or take away from the luring flavors and aroma.
