LFD Field and Factory Tour.

LFD Cigars - Factory and field tour. There are a lot of tours to choose from when it comes to the Pro Cigar Festival. But when Litto Gomez himself leads the tour, that is a tough one to pass up on.

Litto is equally passionate and direct. As we led people through the tobacco fields, he spoke not just of the plants but of his journey—how he crafted his brand with dedication, a relentless pursuit of quality, and a touch of rebellion against industry norms.

He is the first to admit he was not qualified to attempt to make cigars all those years ago. But what he made up for in experience, he gained in drive…and an unwavering commitment to quality.

The tour started in the fields and moved to the factory. This is where Litto, a hands-on cook himself, throws a lunch that is a carnivore’s dream.

Perfectly cooked roast pig, chicken, sausages, ribs, and even paella played out in a buffet-style mouthwatering extravaganza*.LFD Cigars - Factory and field tour.

*You never really get to work in the word ‘extravaganze’, but it certainly seems fitting. For a split second, almost everyone in the group is a foodie Instagram influencer.

After lunch, the group moved into the factory,  where the true art of cigar-making unfolded.

Throughout the day, Litto was the consummate host. Whether he was answering questions, sharing a laugh, or lighting up a cigar to enjoy alongside his guests, his genuine love for his craft and gratitude for the people who appreciate it shone through.

For those lucky enough to attend, the Pro Cigar tour of LFD wasn’t just an educational experience—it was an unforgettable journey into the heart and soul of La Flor Dominicana, led by a family whose passion continues to shape the cigar world.

As I said in the beginning, there are a lot of tours to choose from. Furthermore, just about any of them can show you what it takes to create a cigar from seed to store. That said, few of them can compare to the level of passion you feel the entire tour as you are guided through the life of the Gomez family.

It is no wonder why LFD is so successful, and will continue to be in the years to come.
