Matilde Cigars Quadrata
This cigar had a beautiful looking seamless, oily wrapper with a deep reddish/brown color pattern. The cigar had a great feel in the hand that was solid to the touch with a slight box-press shape. The draw was smooth with just a slight resistance, yet was effortless allowing generous amounts of dense and creamy smoke through to the palate. The smoke had a mouthwatering texture, which coated the palate with full flavors. Dark fruits, spice notes similar to anise, cinnamon, white pepper and cocoa were present on the palate and noticed in the aroma. The body continued to develop and gain momentum. It started out medium and quickly became full, balancing with the flavors. As the body built, it was felt everywhere except the throat, which is an outstanding quality for a full-bodied smoke. It was a smooth cigar with a big personality. It had a great burn overall with minor touch-ups. Complex with a long full flavored full bodied finish.
