My Father Cigars My Father Blue Toro

This slightly box pressed toro shaped cigar had a deep brown, oily wrapper with a lighter, yet rich pre-light nose that had earthy hay notes, mild cocoa and a slightly sweet note.  The same notes were noticed on the cold-draw flavor with the addition of wood traits.  Once lit, the cigar had a full body with full flavors right away.  There was black pepper in the nose when retro haling the smoke and a mouthwatering texture.  More cocoa and dark chocolate-like notes were noticed in the aroma with a mix of peppery spices.  The aroma was full and rich with a slightly sweet tangy tone and luring quality.  The cigar started out medium strength but picked up to full within the first inch.  The strength never became overwhelming and balanced out with the flavor profile and aroma.  The texture of the smoke was dense and creamy, with little spice coming though in the taste and slowly building as the cigar was enjoyed.   It smoked effortlessly with a very smooth draw and mostly even burn that held on to a tight, light gray ash.  Great construction overall.  An extremely well made full flavored, full bodied, full strength cigar with a a lot of character.
