My Father Cigars Fonseca Belicoso

My Father Cigars Fonseca Belicoso

This belicoso shaped cigar had a very attractive appearance with an oily, uniform looking wrapper.  The pre-light taste was clean and light with mild, sweet cedar and vanilla notes.  After the initial lighting, peppery spice was noticed in the nose and lingered in the taste with a creamy, full body developing not long after.  Mild white and red pepper spices continued to develop on the palate with a generally creamy profile.  The aroma was rich with more white pepper, cedar and cinnamon spices that led into some cocoa traits later on.  The draw was smooth, effortless and delivered large volumes of smoke to the palate with ease.  The creaminess seemed to intensify the longer it was enjoyed with the spiciness balancing well with the other characteristics of the cigar.  A slow and even burn held on to a long and dense, light colored ash that didn’t want to fall off of the cigar.  A satisfying medium-full strength, full bodied, full flavored cigar that won’t overwhelm the senses earlier on in the day yet still a great choice for something to sit back with and enjoy after a meal.  Long and full favored finish.  It had layered flavors that developed throughout the duration of the cigar. Balanced and loaded with creamy spicy flavors.
