This cigar had nice eye appeal with its oval pressed shape and hearty looking dark wrapper. It was oily, toothy and had mild pre-light notes on the smell with some light spicy-chocolate characteristics. The cigar was very firm to the touch and had a slight resistance on the draw, making this extremely effortless to enjoy. At first light there was a vegetal tone, which quickly subsided to full chocolaty, spicy, earthy flavors and aroma.  The smoke had a dense, velvety smooth texture with a spiciness that lingered on the palate and continuously picked up momentum as the cigar was smoked.  The aroma had a lot of chocolate and spice notes which were also detected in the flavor. Some coffee flavors developed but it really held strong to the earthy chocolate tone of this cigar. Outstanding construction with an even burn. Medium body and overall a deep, rich, complex cigar that is just bursting with flavor.
