ORTSAC Cigars ORTSAC 1962
Solid as a rock and heavy in the hand, this cigar had an oily, slightly veiny appearance and a full, sweet pre-light smell with a lot of fermented tobacco and earthy floral notes. There was some resistance on the draw but overall it was effortless to enjoy. It provided large volumes of creamy textured smoke to the palate with ease. There was a big spicy character to the smoke that lingered on the tongue through the finish of each puff, and was especially noticed when retro-haling the smoke. White and black pepper notes dominated the taste, backed by a subtle sweet edge in the aroma. The spiciness of the cigar intensified. It had nutty qualities that developed, especially in the aroma. Great burn and overall construction, producing a long and tight, dark gray ash. The cigar had a medium body overall. The spiciness of this cigar dominated the experience and seemed to stand out more than when new. Not overly complex, this spicy cigar had a pretty straightforward character with some development as it was smoked, mostly in body and flavor strengths.
