Quesada Cigars Casa Magna Jalapa Claro
This cigar had a seamless, evenly colored light-brown wrapper that was silky to the touch. The draw was incredibly smooth and effortless. There was a slightly sweet note on the pre-light smell and taste with notes of hay and spice. Once lit, the cigar offered a nice rich aroma and flavors that were similar to the pre-light taste. It had more peppery spices when retro-haling the smoke through the nose. The spiciness of the smoke eventually lingered on the back end of each puff. The cigar had a slow burn and produced a salt and pepper colored ash.
It had a mouthwatering texture which is a great trait when it’s not overwhelming because it aids in spreading the flavor of the smoke evenly around the tongue and palate. The cigar had a mild start with a clean sensation in the mouth after each puff. It did intensify in body strength to medium, medium-full near the end. The spices and flavor also developed. The cigar wasn’t overly complex but offered a great aroma, flavor, and balance.
