Quesada Cigars Oktoberfest 2016
This cigar was covered with a hardy looking oily wrapper that had a tremendous pre-light nose filled with ripe dark fruits and a rich hay-like note. The pre-light taste was very similar to the smell only richer with chocolate covered fruit notes. The draw was easy and effortless. Once lit the cigar provided full flavored smoke with a lot of black pepper tones and a big white pepper spiciness. The smoke had a creamy, full bodied, mouthwatering texture with spices that lingered on the palate and intensified throughout the duration of the cigar experience. There was a deep cocoa-like flavor in the taste with a lot of cedar notes that developed in the aroma. While the body was fairly full it never overwhelmed the flavor. The nicotine strength and flavor strength worked in harmony to deliver a full in-your-face, well-rounded experience. Outstanding overall construction with a slow and even burn. A great after dinner smoke and it could definitely be paired well with many big beers.
