Drew Estate Cigar Co. Nica Rustica

    USER AVERAGE (7): 84
    COMPANY: Drew Estate Cigar Co.
    BRAND: Nica Rustica
    SIZE: Belly, 7.5 x 54
    ORIGIN: Nicaragua
    WRAPPER: Connecticut Broadleaf
    MSRP: $5 - $8.99

This was a beast of a cigar with a dark and oily wrapper. The pre-light nose was pungent with hay and earthy tones. A nice draw pulled thick clouds of smoke onto the palate that delivered strong flavors. Refined leather and roasted coffee were not expected from the pre-light or cold draw, but were definitely present. The finish had a hint of cayenne spiciness that did well to cut through some of the richness. Medium in strength that reached into full toward the end.

Very earthy and full rich smoke, leather spice coffee with just a hint of cedar. Great smoke start to finish.

Nica Rustica is an awesome addition to DE \'s lineup. the Connecticut Broadleaf is a great wrapper from the get go, this stick has a rugged look not like you average cigar. you get a bit of spice and smoothness/sweetness on the palette. lots of smoke, the only thing for me is I would like to see this in a small size like a corona.

One of my favorites from both a flavor and price standpoint. The smoke production and accompanying aroma is off the charts.

For the money, I don\'t think you can buy a better cigar. This smoked like a champ all the way thru and was nub-worthy. This type of cigar is not an every day stick but can be at this price. It had a lot of smoke and very flavorful.
