Matilde Cigars Matilde Oscura

This cigar had a very attractive dark brown, oily wrapper that was silky to the touch. The pre-light nose was rich and sweet with earthy, dark fruit and hay notes. The aroma was full and creamy with dark chocolate covered fruit-like tones from the first puff to the last. Some black pepper notes developed as the cigar was smoked, which was noticed in the aroma as well as in the taste. The cigar had an incredibly slow burn with a razor’s edge that clung on to a long and dense, dark gray ash. This was an extremely rich flavored cigar that was well balanced and had a full complex aroma and overall character. The body was medium to full with a fuller finish, but it developed slowly and evenly adding to the creamy, dense texture of the smoke. An ideal choice for pairing after dinner or when you can sit back and enjoy everything this cigar has to offer.
