Villiger Cigars La Libertad
This was a great looking robusto cigar with an oily, reddish brown wrapper. It had a sweet and clean pre-light smell with dry nutty notes on the taste. The cigar was very firm to the touch and had a smooth draw with the slightest resistance. The burn was slow and the cigar delivered big clouds of dense and full flavored smoke to the palate effortlessly. There was a sweet note in the aroma with a spicy floral tone. White pepper and toast-like notes were noticed in the flavor when retro-haling the smoke. The aroma was full and rich with a spicy-sweet character. It had a mild-medium body to start and continued to gain strength, ending full with a long and flavorful, spicy finish. The cigar stayed lit for minutes after being left in an ashtray, and picked right back up. This cigar offered lots of balanced spicy flavors with a medium-full body that seemed to accentuate the flavor profile.
