Rocky Patel Cigars Thirtieth Anniversary Robusto

This cigar had square box pressed shape with a dark brown wrapper that was silky smooth to the touch. The pre-light nose had bright, tangy sweet notes cocoa and cedar-like tones. The cold-draw taste was similar, with the addition of floral and more pronounced wood. That tangy sweet note carried over to the aroma once lit with red and white peppery notes that lingered in the nose.
The aroma was full and had notes of cocoa powder, nuts and a cinnamon-like spice that was noticed when retro haling the smoke. The smoke was dense with a medium body and creamy texture in the taste. The aroma was consistent with deep peppery tones, a mild sweetness, cocoa, wood and nutty tones. The cigar had a bit of resistance to the draw but effortlessly provided large volumes of smoke to the palate.
The burn was slow, even and produced a long, nearly white ash. Overall, this was a medium-full strength cigar with a full flavor profile, medium-full body and a big aroma. The cigar intensified as it was enjoyed, finishing more on the full end of the spectrum. Easy to enjoy and a great choice for anyone who enjoys a big, spicy flavor profile.
