RoMa Craft Tobac Maestranza Ciutadella Catalonia
A handsome looking smaller cigar with a box press shape that made it extremely comfortable in the hand. The wrapper was very smooth with minimal veins and an oily sheen. It was firm to the touch and the draw had just a bit of resistance, not open yet effortless. The pre-light notes were mild, similar to a well fermented tobacco bale. Upon lighting, there was an immediate full and creamy body with mild spices and chocolate notes in the flavor. The smoke was tolerable when retro haling through the nose with an underlying black pepper spice. The spice did pick up some in the taste but more so in the nose during the second half. Beautifully constructed as it had an impeccably slow and even burn that produced a nearly white, dense ash that didn’t want to fall off. The cigar produced generous amounts of smoke with ease, only when puffed on. This was a full flavored, robust cigar that delivered a big experience in a little package. It had a full body from beginning to end with medium strength that finished on the fuller side. While there were some changes in its character it wasn’t overly complex, just a straightforward full flavored experience. Overall, a creamy cigar loaded with rich flavors. Very well balanced, smooth and extremely easy to enjoy.
