Royal Agio Balmoral Dueto
This cigar had an evenly colored brown wrapper that had an oily sheen. The pre-light nose was clean with well fermented tobacco traits and rich, sweet, earthy-hay like notes that also carried over to the pre-light taste. The cigar was firm to the touch, light in the hand and had a very smooth, effortless draw. Once lit it didn’t take long to notice a rich, full aroma with slight cocoa and sweet tones. There was a good amount of white pepper when retro-haling the smoke through the nose with a creamy texture on the palate. The taste was clean through the finish with lingering spices in the nose. The construction was great overall with a slow and even burn that hung on to a long and tight, dark gray ash. The body was mild at the start and continued to build in strength as the cigar was smoked. The smoke was balanced in the taste with flavor that developed continuously making this fairly complex. It finished medium-full bodied overall. An enjoyable cigar with a lot of character.
