Royal Agio Expands Balmoral An?ejo XO Line-Up
June 19th, 2018 (Bradenton, Fla.) – Royal Agio Cigars USA announced today that they will be expanding the Balmoral An?ejo XO product line-up, with the release of both An?ejo XO Connecticut and An?ejo XO Oscuro. The new lines will be displayed in the Royal Agio booth (Booth #1161) at the 2018 IPCPR Tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV.
A direct follow up to the highly-regarded Balmoral An?ejo 18 (18 year-old Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper), the Balmoral An?ejo XO brand has always been about consistently delivering the optimal balance of sophisticated complexity and smoothness. Each meticulously crafted, extensively aged cigar blend is the result of a relentless curiosity and global search for the top 5% of select premium tobaccos available, including the exclusive, signature Brazilian Mata Norte, that combine to accentuate flavor notes with an underlying natural sweetness.
The new releases, Balmoral An?ejo XO Connecticut and Balmoral An?ejo XO Oscuro, will also be handcrafted at the boutique, Royal Agio cigar factory in San Pedro de Macori?s, Dominican Republic, and are extensions on the same exploratory blending philosophy of Boris Wintermans, 4th generation CEO of Royal Agio Cigars.
When asked about the new An?ejo XO blends, Boris Wintermans stated, “I can honestly say that now is the right time to release these special new Balmoral line-ups. It has taken us several years to find just the right super-premium tobaccos to merit inclusion into these spectacular new An?ejo XO blends. For me, it’s always about having the commitment and patience to ensure we find and work with only the best available tobaccos that will ultimately deliver an enjoyable, one-of-a-kind experience for cigar lovers. It is this unwavering, curious approach to blending all An?ejo XO cigars that provides us with the opportunity to discover the best there is to be found.”
The Balmoral An?ejo XO Connecticut blend is crowned with a shade-grown wrapper from the Connecticut River Valley and provides a luxuriously creamy experience with complex notes of vanilla, toasted caramel and white pepper. Finished with a San Andres wrapper, Balmoral An?ejo XO Oscuro offers a rich experience with complex notes of dark chocolate, espresso and black pepper. Both blends finish with a smooth, underlying natural sweetness.
Both new introductions will be offered in the same vitolas as the current Balmoral An?ejo XO blend – Torpedo Mk52 6 1?4 x 52 (MSRP $11.25), Gran Toro 6 x 52 (MSRP $10.50), Rothschild Masivo 5 x 55 (MSRP $9.75), Corona 5 7/8 x 42 (MSRP $9.00) and Petit Robusto FT 4 1?4 x 48 (MSRP $8.50).
These new blends will begin shipping to U.S. retailers in September, 2018.
