Steve Saka Brought 18 New Cigars to PCA. On Purpose.
Most companies bring one or two new cigars to PCA 2026 and hope they land.
Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust and Steve Saka brought eighteen.
Eighteen.
Confidence, insanity, or just Saka being Saka. Probably all three.
The Booth Situation
I have seen busy booths at PCA. This was not that. This was a pileup. People waiting, people talking over each other, someone always trying to squeeze in one more question. And Saka is right in the middle of it, casually telling stories like he has nothing else to do.
No handlers. No shortcuts. You want info, you ask him.
We sat down with him on Sunday, day three. By then, most people are cooked. Voices gone, feet done, brains somewhere between cigar number 20 and bad coffee.
He was still there talking blends.
I have one question ready…
...What were you thinking?
If you know Steve, the answer was that he was an idiot. He’s not really of course, but he does seem to push the work load more than most. There is a method behind the madness.
What He Actually Brought
DTT is rolling out eighteen cigars across line extensions, brand extensions, and a full rework of an existing line. Like I said, “crazy.”
Here is some of the stuff hitting shelves…

Most brands would stop here and call it a strong PCA. Nope. He kept going.

Then he decided to redo a whole brand.

This is not a tweak. This is a reset and was also the cigar shared at the Opening Welcome party at PCA. After smoking it, I realize that although this is not an everyday cigar (for me), it does have a place on the shelf, and it was smart to streamline the line.
Also Happening…Because why stop?
They are also presenting the 2026 Year of the Pausers and taking more orders for the 10th Jubilee.
I smoked the Jubilee earlier in the week. It was not what I expected… outside the traditional Saka portfolio… but in a good way.
At this point, I just nod and smile.
Back to Reality
Here is the part that matters and why it’s important to us. Anyone can put out a list of cigars.
Standing there and explaining eighteen releases, one by one, for three straight days is different (we didn’t make him do that).
You can agree with him or not. That is fine. Just don’t say he mailed this one in.
Final Thought
Most companies try to keep things simple at PCA.
One or two cigars. Clean message. Easy sell.
Saka went the other way. Eighteen cigars and a booth full of people trying to keep up.
We will see how it all lands once these hit shelves, but if sales and his track record are any indication (and they usually are), he will have a great year.
