Tatuaje Cigars Inc./Havana Cellars Cabaiguan Guapos

This was a great looking robusto sized cigar with a slightly reddish, milk-chocolate colored wrapper that was smooth to the touch and had an oily sheen. The pre-light aroma was a mix of spicy and sweet hay-like notes. The burn was slow and the cigar smoked effortlessly. The flavor was an interesting blend of white pepper, spices, nuts and a honey-like sweetness that came through on the tail end of each puff. The smoke was well-rounded on the palate with a mouthwatering texture which helped spread the flavors evenly in the taste. As the cigar was smoked, some cocoa notes were detected in the aroma of the smoke. The aroma had a sweet backbone with some cedar and wood developing along with some cocoa. The cigar had a mild start but it didn’t take long for a medium body to kick in. The cigar continued to intensify both in body strength and flavor profile as it was enjoyed. Outstanding construction and burn with great full-flavors. Nice balance yet complex in character.
