A beautiful looking cigar that had a very dark and toothy, oily wrapper. The pre-light nose was like smelling a dark chocolate bar with a tangy sweet, hay-like edge. It had a beautiful draw with just a slight bit of resistance. Right as the cigar was lit white peppery notes were noticed in the nose. The initial smoke was dense with a creamy, full texture. Not long after the cigar was lit, intense spices lingered on the palate and were detected in the taste.  Spicy cocoa notes dominated the aroma with a sweet, luring quality.  The spices smoothed out after the initial hit, but the cigar continued to gain strength in flavor and body.  It started full and ended very full, but didn’t overwhelm the senses. The burn and construction was as good as it gets. It had a refined quality, was complex and rich yet balanced. An ideal evening smoke.
