Tübr Alümen Travel Case Review: James Bond Vibes for Your Cigars
I’ve reached the point where most cigar accessories immediately trigger skepticism…especially travel cases.
They all claim to be premium, airtight, and stylish. Then the case shows up looking like the free Bluetooth speaker that came with my AAA membership (not good).
The Tübr Alümen was a nice surprise. Very nice.
I first spotted one of these (in person) in the La Aurora booth at PCA. This thing actually feels premium the second you pick it up. The anodized aluminum case has a very clean, almost overbuilt feel. It feels like something you’d find in the glovebox of a guy who makes stuff for James Bond (yes, that is a Q reference).

Be sure to follow Cigar Press on social media…we are giving away a few of these custom logo TÜBR ALÜMEN cases!
The fit and finish are excellent. The seal is tight. Nothing rattles. Nothing feels cheap.
Oh…almost forgot…yes…it actually protects cigars. Crazy, right?
The Alümen holds two cigars up to a 65-ring gauge, and it handles larger cigars without feeling cramped or awkward.
Here is the thing…
Most cigar damage does not happen in humidors. It happens during travel.
Cup holders. Car consoles. Backpack pockets. Jacket pockets. That moment when you accidentally sit on your own cigar because you forgot it was in your back pocket like a complete idiot. (I think I have shared too much)
The airtight seal is impressive too. I even did a water test on Facebook. The results surprised me.
And, somehow, the Tübr still manages to not feel bulky.
The velvet pouch is also a nice touch. Normally those end up immediately abandoned in a drawer somewhere next to old cigar bands and obsolete charging cables…but this one actually works well with the overall presentation.
At $99.99* this thing screams gift item too.
Father’s Day.
Groomsmen gift.
Executive desk flex. or….
“I spent too much money at the cigar lounge again,” reward purchase.
All valid.
*There is a $39.99 plastic version, but hey, you are worth it.
What I like most about the Tübr Alümen is that it feels like it was engineered by someone who actually understands cigar smokers. It is practical. Clean looking. Durable. Simple to use. No gimmicks.
Let me put it this way…
You know that scene in a movie where a guy gets shot only to find out that his book, lighter, or case in his breast pocket took the bullet? This case kind of feel like that sort of thing…but I’m not going to test it (and I don’t think you should either).
We also have several of these Tübr Gordo Alümen cases to give away. So keep your eyes peeled for our social media posts.
