This lancero shaped cigar was covered with a rustic looking, dark, toothy wrapper and was finished off with a pig tail cap. The pre-light nose was tangy sweet with earthy tones.   Once lit the cigar immediately provided a full and bold flavor profile that was similar to the pre-light notes, only more intense with the addition of peppery spices in the nose.

The smoke had a dense and creamy, full-bodied texture on the palate.  The aroma was full and had a luring quality filled with rich notes of spices, wood, cocoa and an underlying sweetness that balanced well with the peppery spice.  The cigar started off with medium strength and slowly picked up to full.   Well-rounded from the taste to the aroma to the mouthfeel.  The spicy characteristics settled down as the cigar progressed, remaining more as a backdrop to the full flavors that the cigar had to offer.

The aroma and flavors continued to develop for the duration of the experience, making this complex – yet not over the top and still easy to enjoy.  A very smooth experience that provided full flavors, a full body and medium-full strength.  Outstanding construction with an even burn that hung on to a long, light gray ash.  Overall an extremely well made cigar that has a lot of character.
